The Flag Project at Rockefeller Center
Flag designed for The RC Flag Project, an art group installation to celebrate the city’s resilience during Covid.
In my flag, stripes are replaced by two arms hugging - celebrating warmth and acceptance in a city where different people and cultures live together. It can be a hug between two people or a collective one, the interpretation is left to the viewers.
The flag flew from one of the flagpoles surrounding The Rink at Rockefeller Center, along with the ones designed by artists such as KAWS, Marina Abramović and Jeff Koons, and the others selected through the project’s call for artists.
